I have a Hobie 16 that the previous did a horrible job patching the bottoms of the hulls ... There is resin all over the hulls ...

If I sand down the resin overflow, should I sand down the gelcoat before I paint?

If there's a link to help, that would be great to know ...

Thanks,

Cajun

You might read about how I refinished my hulls by searching for "old 16 project" in this forum (hobie 16). It was enjoyable even though I would rather have been out sailing.
