I'm installing a Aussie Jib Halyard and the instructions don't offer any dimensional distance to install the eyestrap from the Mast Tang.

Wondering if someone might know?

Eye strap? This a Murrays kit?

That would be to route the halyard against the mast to keep it from catching on the upper jib battens. Place it just above where the upper most batten would hit the mast. Likely the mast will show wear to indicate that.

first, hello to all and thanks to all for this site and all the enthusiasm(sp).
I have an old 73 H16  and was checking the rigging the other day prior to setting out and found my jib block in total disarray :o .It's set up like this; From tang going down about a foot to a triangle w/ a block built in and then the for stay continues down to the bridle, the block handles the jib halyard, It's just a brass wheel and its center is oval'd out :( is this OEM or some other mfgrand is this part available???
thankx
