I have a few spots on my hulls were the last owner hit some rocks. I injected Git Rot in to the 2" soft spots and got it to harden, finally. Next step was to fill with Gel coat? Any were that the fiberglass was showing the Gel coat did not harden. The Gel coat harden everywere else. I don't know what to do next. What did I do wrong? Do I need to put epoxy on the bare fiberglass or is it the Git Rot that the Gel coat will not harden on? Please help, I want to go sailing!!!

Did you put a layer of poly-vinyl alcohol (PVA) over the gel. I'm no expert on this but I do know that helps the gel to cure. Jeremy from a dealership in CALI, I can't recall the name of his store for the life of me right now, helped me out tremendously by explaing how to do gel. I hear he is like a gel-jedi master.
