i have a 14 right now, when i take two 200lb people out on it, it doesn't perform quite as well. looking at getting a 16 to handle the load better. also i don't want to dish out the money for a turbo kit when i can find a 16 for a pretty good price in my area. how do the 16's handle weight and what do you guys suggest for a good crew weight on the 16?

I weigh about 160 and I regularly sail with my 230lb father on our older H16. I have no problems with speed however, I usually helm and he crews and I always have to tell him to watch his position on the boat. Ive found that if he sits too far aft (he usually does) the transoms tend to sink in a little and I dont like that. On the other hand though, if he sits too far forward, the leeward hull digs in too much for my stomach to handle so I tell him to move back. I think with two 200lb people, it shouldnt be that big of a deal, unless you get into racing, then you might have to watch it for boat speed against the lighter crews.
