Found a small (1") stress crack on the underside of my front port corner casting. It does not look very deep.I will try to include photo but crack is so small it is hard to detect in photo.Hard to describe exactly where located I will try. Crack located on the underside of the top part of the casting where the horizontal part meets the verticle on the left corner(if that makes sense).I have sailed with it a few times since noticing it and do not detect any changes. Also have sheeted in hard trapped of the side without seeing any change in the crack. Not sure how long it has been there as I only happened to notce when putting silicone on pylon joint.Boat was put together by dealer and has not been apart .It is stored indoors for winter. How much of a problem is this?Boat is a 2006 and has had very little heavy wind sailing

hmmm. Till it fails probably no problem? Just keep an eye on it. When it does fail a big chunk will probably break off. Whether or not the tramp frame will come apart, I don't know.

Or, pull it apart and have it welded up. If its not seen that's the route I would take.

What is the warranty on a new Hobie? I would buy a new corner casting and install it next winter.

I guess a new corner casting is the proper answer.I am not that thrilled with having to replace one after 2 summers of sailing. Also I am not very handy, and replacing one looks like it would invovle a little bit of handy work(dolphin striker tension, lining up rivit holes...)
