Hi all,

New outback owner here, loved my first few trips out. I'm wondering if it's okay to car top hull down, on curved cross bars. I can easily get my kayak on my subaru hull down and am using cushion pads on previously purchased curved cross bars. However I can't figure out a way to get my yak on the bars hull up without risking dropping the kayak, or scratching up the H-bars in the stern.

Is there an easy method to get my yak up top, hull up? Otherwise will I be okay assuming most trips are 1 hour or less? The first few trips show no flat spots but figured I'd ask. I probably at least would be better off with perfectly flat Thule bars but I'd of course prefer not to spend more on bars. Thanks!
