The instructions with the cradles say, "
... The forward cradle is narrower at the front. The aft cradle ia narrower at the back and the channel for the keel is slightly larger at the back."
Does anyone have a better way of determining which is the front and which is the back? I've look at the online photos and took a photo of the ones I received and am just not sure which way they go.

Also, if I attach them to a 2x4" to store the Outback upright, the curvature of the cradle will straighten just a bit. Will that be an issue?
