I bought a trailer and had the dealer install the hobie cradles. After leaving and getting home I noticed the kayak isn't really being "cradled" by the cradles. There is only a small portion of the cradle that is touching the kayak. I tried sliding the kayak back and forth to see if they weren't lined up correctly. I unbolted the cradles and flipped the kayak over like the hobie video suggests. I am guessing I have the wrong cradles because they don't sit anything like the video. I have a couple pictures and a video. Ignore my crappy camera angles.

Looks like the dealer installed the wrong cradles. I suggest that you return them to the dealer in exchange for the correct cradles. IF the dealer doesn't have the correct cradles for your model, get a refund for the cradles and pad the crossbars on your trailer. I describe and show pictures of several ways to pad roof rack crossbars in the post at http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index ... msg1098352.
