Bought a new Lynx about 6 weeks ago. Wife and I liked it so much we bought a new Mirage Oasis tandem last week. If they had a Lynx tandem we would have bought that, but we LOVE the seats on the Mirage Oasis.
I much prefer the Lynx and solo rides but the tandem will work out fine I'm sure. It's just so heavy and slow compared to the Lynx and the Lynx is like a go cart compared to the sedan feel of the Oasis tandem. To be expected, but I'm sure when they come out with the Lynx tandem we'll sell the Oasis and buy 1, at least I think we will.
I'm 61, wife is 52 and these are our first yak's. We just bought a place on a canal and launch from our deck out back. Lots of canals and mangroves to explore and we can truck or trailer the tandem to numerous nearby places to launch to explore other areas.
