Hobie Lynx with Fold and Stow Cart

Anyone using the Fold and Stow with the Hobie Lynx? Wondering how the scuppers on the Lynx hold up to to the scupper carts and if the cart lasts in the salt. I currently use a CTug cart for an i11s but thinking the Lynx may not grip as well and looking at the Fold and Stow cart now to shave some weight/time strapping the cart down. Is it possible to do the bungee mod to the Fold and Stow to load the Lynx without having to tip it over? Thanks

Yes, should work well for the Lynx. The carts use a "Cart Keeper" on the posts to keep them from dropping out when you lift the boat. On the Fold and Stow, that is a ball on a shock cord on top of one of the posts. The other carts use a cap with a pin/shock cord also located on the top of the post. You pull up the cap and insert the pin through a hole on the top of the post.

Thanks @mmiller. So I picked one up today with the Lynx and noticed the seams inside the scupper seem to be sanding down on the rougher surface of the post. Or at least it looks like paint dust I’m needing to wipe off the cart after use. Does that make sense? Any cause for concern?

Odd. Should not be much movement to cause "sanding".

I have the stops set fairly low to the ground. I can hear it grinding against the seams when lifting the stern to drop the wheels. Kind of tough to remove the wheels straight down the center without the posts touching some edges of the scuppers. Wouldn’t be as big of an issue with the other wheels having polished finishes but the Fold and Stow has some texture to it. I guess there is a lot of sacrificial material there but wondering with repetition is it eventually going to get to a point where water can get in?

I have a fold and stow and a trax 2 cart. I use either with my lynx depending on what kind of surface I’ll be on and they both work great
