I’ve been a loyal customer for 10 years, but I can’t understand what’s happened to Hobie service. I need a rudder pin for my Tandem Island. My local dealer is out of stock and can’t tell me when he will be able to get more. The “Contact Us” button on Hobie’s website doesn’t work. I couldn’t find a contact number on the site. I sent an e-mail and didn’t get a response. I had to do a Google search to get Hobie’s customer service number. I left a voice message and didn’t get a response. I finally got a live person on the phone and he promised to get back with me that afternoon with an answer. Never got a call back. Their service used to be great. Now it’s nonexistent.

I have looked all over the internet and can’t find a rudder pin anywhere. Can anyone tell me where I can find one (preferably two)?

You already used the spare pin in the hatch?

Search for the black rudder pin, #88991100. I see several places show in stock.

I only found two places on the internet that had stock. One only shipped to Hawaii, the other had a $100 minimum. If you know of another please let me know who.

I think I have a few spares. I bought a handful a while back to avoid this situation. Shoot me an email if you still need one.

Supply seems to be improving. A google search on "hobie ( 88991100 OR 88991101 )" shows several dealers with the 2011+ AI/TI rudder pin in stock.
