Hobie made clear sails for that tri-foiler, I wonder what size those sails are? :?:

Ideas Ideas - and I'll ask my buddy what he intends to do with the old racing main. Maybe we can scarf it up for more Frankenboat experiments... :lol:


Maybe I could put a 2' extension on the mast. ;)

I picked the sail up last night and began to make it a square top. I will post progress pictures later tonight or this weekend. :)

Did you use a machine to do all your stiches and i am curious of what kind of thread you used , how much nylon did you buy, did you follow a book or go buy a model

Hey
Can you give me the specs of how many yards you bought and what kind of stiches and thread you used this is really cool i might do it my self because i am in real need of a new sail and i dont want to pay 800 some bucks when i can attempet to make one my self for 70-80 dollars. did you follow a book or just look at another sail do do this.

If you want a good sail for cheap, you should get the mylar sail that I got and convert it. I can get you one, just let me know!

I did everything myself... just did a little online research. I'll try to get the specs i used later this week. I have to warn you though... it;s very primitive. Also, when making the nylon sail, I didn't give shape to each panel, only the bottom. That was my biggest mistake.
