When did Hobie stop making the 14s?
I noticed that the latest out there that ive seen was an 85?? Why did they stop the 14s and focus on the 16s?

They were tapered off in the mid 90's (after the Wave was introduced) What the exact date was I'm not sure.

Hmmm.. I didn't think they kept making them till the 90s...I guess I never saw an AD out there about a 14 that's that "new".

I know a guy who has a '93. Its listed as such on the transom. Where it came from I don't know, as he bought one of those Navy auction boats last summer.

Are we talking America's? They have brand new ones in France. I saw a 2000 on the beach in St. Tropez this summer (it was a rental and looked like crap, my 1973 looks waaaay better). All the rental 16's have cut down mainsails and no booms over their.
