I need some diagrams on how to setup and use trapeze for Hobie 14 turbo. Any advice?
Also....
How does the roller furler work, is the furler springloaded, is it supposed to retract when Jib sheet is uncleated. Right now I have to stall out into the wind, stand up and furl the sail by hand. More advice?

Robert.

Download the manual from the support pages for trapeze help. The furler is sort of a see-saw action. Pre wind the line into the drum or furl the sail by hand. When you pull the sail out, it spins the drum to wind the line. Pull the line and that furls the jib.

I know how to rig the trapeze lines to the mast tang, what I don't know is how to rig the dogbones and bungee cord. Have read your FAQ on trapezing and have tried to take a good look at how the trapeze is rigged up but cannot quite see details. Keep in mind that although I have done quite a bit of sailing on and off, never flew trapeze. Am self -taught sailor, and there are no other sailing clubs in my area where I can eyeball a trapeze rig-up. I have downloaded the manual for Hobie 14 but the accessories for the turbo are just that, accessories. Thanks for the info on the furler

Robert,

Go to the website and download the 16 assembly manual. Nice photo (and drawing) on page 15. The bungee cord attaches at the "bottom" of the line and runs under the tramp to attach to line on the other side.

Hope that helps.

What lake/s will you sail in the summer?
