I like the idea of the Hobie 14 vs. a 16 or a used boat as it may be easier to set up for one or two.
But I heard they ride low in the water. Even with 2 people.

Are they reasonably comfortable? Are you always going to get wet on a Hobie 14?

You're pretty much going to get wet on either boat. And comfort is relative. A cat is not a lounge chair... It's tamed. If you want comfort, buy a powerboat.

The Hobie 14 is a good one person boat. Adding a 2nd person is like adding a 2nd person to a motorcycle - you can do it, but the ride suffers. So if you want to always sail with two people, get a 16.
