Ok, first off let me say love this forum, getting tons of useful tips and info to help get the old 14 turbo I picked up as a project back on the water. While replacing the rudder pins I noticed the hull is really worn were the pins go through. On the bottom there is a metal attachment that the pin goes through but nothing on the top. Is something missing ? If not what do you do to prevent this wear from getting worse ?

It's not really "wear" nor is it a structural part of the rudder system.

In fact, the class rules allow you to notch that hole out completely. Don't worry about it.

wow, nice '85! original rudder cams and relatively no wear on the castings.

Just check that when the rudder is in place that there is not too much play / slop in the housing. The bushing in the top pin guide had actually came out on mine, si I just replaced both top an bottom guides.
