If anyone has a spare main and jib for sale at a good price i'd like to keep the boat otherwise, i'm sad to say, my 14 Turbo is dead.
After the mast coming down on the 2nd last tack in a club race I was about to win, my jib ripped in two and the main got a nasty hole in it.
I sadly now have a whole boat of spares, i'll list what I can think of just now, but i'll probably have what you need.
I can ship by next day courier in the UK and a couple of days to Europe quite cheaply.
Here's what I can think of off the top of my head, just email me with what you need, thanks.
[email protected]Mast - slightly bent, collection only (or about £250 delivered to your door by artic lorry in the UK).
Sails - Ripped Jib in two, main 43030 fairly large hole in bottom panel, both may be useful for patching unless you can fix them.
Hulls - Gloss black in great condition, refurbed at start of the year by me with a lot of time, money and effort put in, no delamination, soft spots, leaks, new bungs, totally reinforced sterns with metal plates behind rudder attachments. 3 layers of undercoat, 2 topcoat, a few small scuffs on bottom of hulls, just need a dab of paint which I still have. Collection only.
Rudders - Both blades in good condition. 2 good rudder pins and all rudder attachments
Rudder Arms - Fine
Trampoline - New tramp this year made locally and far better than the one that came with it. Turbo holes in correct position.
Frame - In good condition, no dents etc
Rear Crossbar - Improved by an aluminium rod bolted about half a metre across giving far more strength.
Dolphin Striker - Good condition.
Trapeze Wires - Good condition, 1 broken handle, still useable, never bothered me so i never changed it
Shrouds - good condition
Turbo Underwire - Wire running under the tramp, fine
Main Halyard - Fine
Boom - Good condition
Main Cleat & pulleys - Fine condition, never had a problem
Jib Cleats - Customised on the tramp jib cleats, stand up and rotate rather than flop about, new this year, have 2 sets, made my life so much easier
Hobie Bob Mast Float - New this year, after fitting it never capsized once! Tested it off the slipway in choppy water and worked a dream, no more turtling! Gave me much more confidence to push harder
Righting Line - Thick strong bungee rope, made to perfect size (stretch taken into consideration) for righting the boat. I attached it as shown on the hobie parts catalogue for their own system and worked perfectly when testing the Bob. You can even hook on your trapeze harness and just lean back
Trapeze Bungee - Same material as righting line, runs right across under the tramp, totally changed my sailing, far more eager to get out on the trapeze because i felt safer.
Main sheet - big long nice peice of rope, new this year, think 14mm, runs fine through the cleat anyway
Jib Sheet - perfect for the jib cleats ive got
If you can think of anything else you need I guess I'll have it.
