Day on the water!!!

Me and my buddy both took our of 14t's this morning early. The wind was light all morning but after noon, the wind started to pick up. By 3 it was blowing around 20 steadily. I had never been out in that big of wind but it went great!!

I did pitch once but my buddy did a few times so I felt pretty good. We traveled about 20 miles up the lake and back down.

The best part of the day was when I was out on the trap with one hull barely skimming that water. While this was going on a pwc was running along side me. Later after I talked to him he said that he was going nearly 20mph. I was pretty excited about that!!!!

Well, I guess I will continue to post on here from time to time. I am sure glad I bought a Hobie!!!

I'm glad to hear you guys had such a great day on the little beasties! Next, you should plan on attending the 14 Nationals in September.

I would love to go to something where there are some people that really know what they are doing. We taught ourselves, I read alot of stuff on here but the first day we went out we were just trying to figure stuff out. That was only a few weeks ago, and look at us now, we are flying hulls and screaming across the water.

I would like to say thanks for all the help that people on here have provided. I love knowing that there are people out there that I can run to if I need help with my sailing.

Also, I am looking to buy a used or aftermarket tramp. Where is the best place to look.

10 hours straight up I-35 is the 14 NAs. We have 25 boats pre-registered, and there will be a tuning clinic the first morning for everyone by the expert.

Best way to learn is to be with other similar boats. Watch what they do, and ask tons of questions. This is Hobie sailing, the good ones ALWAYS share what they know. If they didn't, they'd be sailing something else.
