Does anyone know how many blue Hawaii sail colors were produced?

I don't know how many of them were produced, but I have one of them. It's a beautiful sail pattern isn't it?

Right on. I bought my boat used. Maybe we should meet up for a reunion sail sometime just so we can say that we've seen them in the same place  . I'm hoping to post up some pictures here soon on this site.

I'd try contacting someone like Matt Miller or Matt Bounds,
They could probably give you a close answer. I think this era was a pretty popular time for Hobies, which kind of suprises me that you, as well as I, have never seen this sail pattern around.

The Blue Hawaii sail pattern was one of the most popular patterns made. Hobie made them from 1983 - 1986. It's difficult to say how many were made, since Hobie Cat has never disclosed production numbers, but I would estimate several hundred were made for the Hobie 14, 16 and 18.

You don't see many on 14s, since that was the time when the sales of 14s declined rapidly in the US.

More likely into the thousands! Especially including all the different models that had them.
