Hello everyone. This is my first post in this forum.

I recently got a Mirage outback kayak and I loved it, I added a few things to it like a fish finder mount, a new rod holder for trolling and a pully trolley system. the last time on the water the weather was rough and I noticed my yak is getting water inside I thought it was because I didn't properly close the front compartment, but this weekend I was driving home with my hobie on top of the roof thru a pretty bad thunderstorm and when I got home and unload the kayak I noticed water inside the boat AGAIN!

I was wondering if any of you can help me with ideas of how to find the leak?

Thank you in advance

A heavy rainstorm and highway speeds certainly could force water past the hatch gaskets, but there are ways to improve the seal if that is the issue.

I take it that the boat was upright on the roof rack?

Yes... the boat was loaded up right on the roof.

I took it on the water this pasted weekend in some very rough conditions and I got water inside as well.... But this time I didn't close the front compartment properly so I assumed the water went inside through there.
