Mat installation for PA14

I have a pro angler 14. I purchased a mat set for the PA from an authorized Hobie dealer. When I opened the box the way it was packaged damaged the mats. Some of the mats were too long for the box so they were packaged folded over. Where the mats were folded over the paper on the adhesive separated from the mats. Where the paper separated the adhesive has dried up. I tried to get them replaced from Hobie but all I get is a run around.
I even asked if they could just recommend a proper adhesive so I could install the mats. Just more run around. They told me they have no record of my purchase. I bought them at an authorized Hobie dealer in NJ where I have spent thousands on two Hobie Kayaks and all the accessories for fishing. You don’t register an accessory purchase!

Any tips on proper adhesive to use would help.
