Hi all,

I'm looking for some clarification. Pardon my innaccurate naming of boat anatomy as I explain what my question is.

I'm seriously considering purchasing my friend's 2001 Hobie Getaway that needs new trampolines. I have a brand new front trampoline designed for newer Hobie Getaways. I've heard that the difference between the trampoline situation for a 2001 Getaway and the newer Getaways is that the aluminum rail that you slide the trampoline in was designed to hold a larger diameter trampoline edge. Apparently the rope that was stitched inside the edge of the older trampoline was larger in diameter. Therefore the older aluminum rail diameter was larger.

This would mean that newer tramps that we see sold online would slide in too easily into 2001 aluminum rail.

Is this true? Can anyone educate me on this?

Thanks!

We only make one type of forward trampoline. They have the +/- 3/16" rope now, so if the extrusion is an older larger size... you could replace the extrusions to fit the trampoline.

Not sure when the change happened but visual inspection is easily done. Older had the same larger racks for and aft. The (newer) smaller track slot is very different from the main trampoline track.
