I have a 06 Getaway and the main tramp is starting to tear on the right side forward, right at the welded seam and just above the hiking strap. The tear is about 2", actually the width of the hiking strap. Is this a factory defect and anyone else experiencing this? Also what is the fix for this? The Getaway has been stored inside and has been only out on the water about 8 times. Any input appreciated. Thanks, Jim

Wow - what a coincidence! I have (based on your description) exactly the same issue with mine (purchased August 05). I just sent pics in to my dealer to see what they say...

I just sent pictures in also and am waiting a reply from the dealer. I'll post results as soon as I know what they, (Hobie), are going to do to remedy the situation. Jim

Great service from Kolius Sailing and Hobie. Hobie shipped a replacement tramp to Koilus and they are shipping it out to me today. Now I just need to figure out how to remove old tramp and install the new one. Anyone done this before? Jim
