2012 Hobie Getaway new to me

Hello,
I've recently purchased a 2012 Hobie getaway. This is the first Hobie I have owned and was hoping to get some veteran InSite to a couple of concerns I have. I have searched though the forums but have not found information that is satisfactory to my questions. My first and main concern is hull cracking around the rear crossbar. The rear crossbar has 2 cracks most notably the one on the inside of the portside hull is about 3/4 of an inch and 1/2 and inch deep, and the one on the starboard side is only about 1cm (not as concerned about that one). My question is can these be repaired and keep the integrity of the hull. If so what options do I have for repair? My second concern is the mast is chipped near the ball seat, where the "holy pin" is supposed to go through. (it appears the last owner had an accident during rigging). Is this a concern for the masts ability to perform regular sailing duties, and also is the pin supposed to be out when sailing. And my last concern is to do with hull rigidity when I lift one side of the cat it can go up about 4 inches before the other hull lifts off the trailer. I have already purchased the line to completely redo the trampolines (I read that this will help with hull rigidity) is that amount of play a concern for these cats?

I have a 2012 Getaway. I'll answer what I can.

1. Search in the forum for repairs on the rotomolded hulls. I understand there are various ways to repair the cracks. Fortunately, I haven't had the problem. You might look in the Hobie Kayak forum too since those boats are rotomolded.

2. I'd replace that mast step if I were you. The pin holds the mast in place while you raise it. While you don't "need" it when sailing, I leave mine in so I don't have to worry about the mast coming loose on a capsize.

3. That's a lot of flex. Tighten up the tramp rigging as much as you can, that helps keep the boat rigid.

The outward cracks radiating from the crossbar ends seem to be fairly commonplace on the rotomolded hulls of the Getaway and Wave. I wouldn’t be overly concerned. Maybe mark them with a Sharpie marker to monitor any growth.

The mast base is broken. You can use it as is, but you’ll need to make sure that you keep a forward/downward force on the mast when raising and lowering. That could be a little tricky if you’re new to hoisting Hobie masts. If the mast pops off the ball when hoisting or lowering, the opposite end will come crashing down and could cause serious damage or injury, so probably best to replace the base. The pin isn’t needed when sailing, it can be left in or removed.

For hull flex, I think you need to keep in mind that the rotomolded Getaway hulls and their connection to the crossbar are never going to be as rigid as a fiberglass hull. A few inches of deflection from one hull to the other is acceptable.
