I modified an h16 full length aluminum mast, cutting top and bottom to replicate length of stock getaway mast. I am using the h16 wire halyard but would prefer the getaway style with a long rope feed to facilitate the dual purpose use of the getaway halyard for raising the jib cover and main sail while easily being able to tuck away the additional length of rope with the sail raised. Plus the rope is easier on the hands when raising the sail. I would need a longer wire tail to accommodate the larger diameter sheave in the h16 mast head. Can these be custom ordered or diy fabricated and if so, with what material that would fit through the h16 masthead and sheave and how do I connect dyneema or some other non stretch type rope to a wire with stopper. Any and all suggestions appreciated.
