So, I go to upload a video clip to the Hobie Social Network and find out I over reached the 100 MB limit. Anyway, here is a link to You Tube of the family sailing in Puerto Penasco, Mexico.
Allow me to premise that a) we just started sailing last Summer and b) the video was shot prior to having a couple of really smart people get on board and offer some sailing tips.
A quick story… Arizona Fleet 42 is an open-class organization who has welcomed the Getaway with open arms. On Sunday, we were out on the Sea of Cortez and a Nacra 5.8 pulled up alongside. Manny (Skipper) asked if Luke (my son) wanted to go for a ride. We switched crew which meant now I have two very knowledgeable ladies giving some wonderful sailing tips. After getting situated, it was a FANTASTIC sight watching the Nacra with hooter sail away. Both Manny and my son were trapped out flying a hull so high the dagger board was in full view! A very proud moment for this Dad.
Even with the above mentioned, I still LOVE the Getaway. Having the camerawoman (wife) sit comfortably on the wing, as well as the front trampoline being utilized; one cannot chastise this cat and the memories it’s providing for the family. Enjoy!
