I picked it up this morning :D and hope to take it out this week. Any advice for the first sail? I'm new to cats, though not new to sailing.

Depends on wind and wave conditions, If you have never sailed on a cat before just remember it won't point as well as a mono will. The first time it picks a hull up you will probable freak like I did and dump the main lol. Run the main traveller out about 1/2 way and just play out the main a little in the puffs. Make sure you have the angle adjusted on the main jam cleat so you can easily cleat and uncleat the main sheet. And above all GO HAVE FUN!!
