Been about 20 years since I had a Hobie 16. Just bought a used Getaway and was anxious to sail. Heavy ground swell caught me before I finished squaring to come in on the beach. Broke the mast. Split out the lower aluminum part. Looks like the mast was the extent of the damage. Any suggestions on a mast? New price hurts.
