Adjusting sidestays, rake, etc. for better pointing upwind??

What are tips for improving the ability to point upwind on close hauled sailing on a getaway? Looking for any tips about where to put weight, adjustments to sidesteps, rake, downhaul, etc? I have two tell tales on the sail but none on the leech.

Do any folks use the traveler to pull the main to windward a bit like you would in a monohull? I realize this would be fighting the wind but could be done prior to a take OR by hand?

No traveler to windward.

Mast raked aft helps you point higher. Try not to oversheet. Leech tell tails help with that.

Weight central to slightly bow down unless it is windy... then move more aft.
