The female threads on the rear transom that the bolt goes into that holds the pintel is stripped. I'm not sure how to repair it. Does anyone have a fix. The bolt goes in but just spins.

Unfortunately there is no repair for the insert. It is one piece and inter connected.

You might try stepping up a screw size?

If that doesn't work you could through bolt, but this would require a port installed in the aft deck to access the inside of the transom.

How about tapping the screw hole to allow a bigger screw. I have done this a few times to great success.

I think JB Weld & Loctite have a product that can repair threads, never tried it. I have used helicoils & inserts for different things in the past.
