Getaway jib leech flutter

I did search the forum and didn’t find too much regarding this. When I am sailing close hauled my jib starts to vibrate, no matter how hard I have it sheeted in. It’s most at the leech but the whole sail is really vibrating. I run a pretty good mast rake so that the main sheet blocks nearly touch, not sure if that matters. Once in a while, I will even sheet in the Windward jib lead as well a little bit, and that helps to calm it down. I did read about worn out sails causing this, but didn’t want to buy a $500 jib to find out that’s not the problem. Thanks for any help, ideas. I think the boat is a 2006.

My 2012 has done that since it was new. I think it's a consequence of fixed jib blocks.

Try to sheet-in the oposite side (windward) too.

My getaway does this as well when I get it humming.

I just saw this video on YouTube. Fast forward to about 13:00 point. You can see his jib leech fluttering. He suggests that it could be addressed by moving the tack of the jib up which would put more tension into the leech which makes sense.

I just put my boat away for the season in NH so will have to wait until next year to try it out.
