When rigging the wave, does the sheet run fore or aft of the tiller crossbar? I seem to have seen photos and diagrams of it both ways, which doesn't seem possible. I believe it has to run aft of the tiller crossbar. Am I right?

When was your boat made?
Up until 2005 the tiller heads were aluminum and the tillers were longer, so the mainsheet had to go behind the tiller connector.
After 2005 Hobie switched to the EX-Loc rudder system, plastic rudder heads, with shorter tillers. In this case the mainsheet goes in front of the tiller connector.

Have a Hobie day.
