I was bored this evening (-33*C outside) and decided to Google for some new Hobie Wave images when I came across some guy named Norm who has rigged up a pair of oars for his Hobie Wave. It almost looks sacrilegious but I have to give the guy credit for thinking outside the box.

There are 32 images that you can scroll back & forth.

I like the comments at the bottom of each photo, especially the one entitled, "Collision narrowly avoided"

Yep, he's a regular poster here... and there's a long thread about it here if you go back and try to search it.... down to how much it cost him to custom-build the whole thing...

Thanks, DHT, for directing me to the past thread. I never really thought about using my Wave for anything other than sailing.

Come to think about it, though, on those calm glassy water days it would make a great swimming platform without the rigging. Just float out to deep water, drop an anchor and a rope ladder, turn up some tunes and open up some frosties.
