and his favorite place to stand lookout is on either bow but that plastic is a bit slippery. I want to add something to keep him onboard (He did go for a bit of a swim today, got to practice my man overboard drill).
I was thinking about spray on truck bed liner. Would that work? Any other ideas?

How about carpeting or astroturf? something he can get his claws into.

I have thought about that but I would have to attach it somehow. I don't like the idea of drilling into or running screws into the plastic. A spray on or self adhesive mat eliminates the holes.
With spray on I can simply pick a complimentary color and if it looks good enough even do some accent work with the added non-slip bonus.
You can imagine how easily he can slide off when he moves forward just a foot more.
And yes, he has a life jacket now.

You might want to look at Hydro-Turf. It's not particularly cheap but it's great stuff. They have a lot of different colors and patterns in sheets. They will also apply a self stick backing so all you have to do is cut peal and stick. I've used it on my H14 side rails, my windsurfing boards and even a kayak trailer.

Where do you and your dog sail?

Bradenton/Sarasota area, that is the Skyway bridge in the background.
Talking to others I am also considering self adhesive bath tub non slip mats.
Will report back once I figure any of this out.

I recently stuck some of this to my Wave, to extend the seating area. I haven't had it long enough to judge durability, but it looks nice on the white hull.
