A good alternative to the factory Hobie seat pads to to use jet ski (PWC) traction mat, often sold under the name Hydro-turf. It comes in lots of colors and patterns, it's built to be wet and in the sun, take lots of abuse, and glues on easily.
A single Wave seat pad is about 12" x 28" and you'll need 4. A single sheet of Hydro-turf is 39" x 78" so you can cut 4 Wave seats from one sheet. The Hydro-turf sheets vary in price but it'll cost you under $75. Here are some links. Look to YouTube for installation videos.

Just be sure to seal the small ports that you'll find under the seat pads. They aided hull construction so you won't need access to them but they will leak for sure if you don't reseal them. Taste your hull drainage. If it's fresh it's rain water getting in through these ports. Yuck!
