i have a righting line, of course, but can't figure out how i'm supposed to get it centered so that when i pull on it, i'm not just pulling on the front crossbar. i 've basically resorted to pulling on the two cup holders with my two hands, and this way my weight is centered and balanced to right it effectively.

it seems like on a cat like a 14 or 16 with an elevated trampoline, its simple to just tie the line around the columns that hold the tramp up, lean out, and tada. no such convenience with the wave. i don't want to break anything either.

how is the righting line supposed to be tied?

thanks!

The righting line works from the front crossbar, but if you want to be centered, untie it from the lower crossbar attachment, toss the line over the top hull behind the shroud. This will center your pull, but it also ends up with you under the tramp when the boat is righted.

What do you think about this video

It looks like the man at the bob is launching the mast towards the sky, helping the teacher to complete demonstration.

Impossible to do if alone.

Like this instructor, I can pull from almost anywhere as I have plenty of weight. The righting line is used by light kids or women. most light men will not need the righting line on the wave. It is nice to use as a step to climb back on the boat when righted.

one last note, Pontoons are on pontoon boats, ours are hulls.
