Has anyone used the Hobie motor mount for the Wave (Part No 3183)?

Exactly how does this motor mount attach to the boat? The catalog states, "Our easy to install electric motor bracket attaches to the rear cross bar with the trampoline strap." The accompanying photo in the catalog looks like it is a clamp type mount. I don’t understand the use of “the trampoline strapâ€
