2000 wave price

Hi,
there is a 2000 wave for sale locally being used in a rental fleet. what sort of price range for a boat with the heavy use and abuse from a rental fleet would be good? or should it be avoided at all costs? the sails have been replaced but I haven't got a year for them. sailed in salt water.

it will need new rigging for sure, the tramp may be getting close to its life span. How much are they asking, w/o seeing the boat it's hard to put a price on it, also are there any other used boats in the area? Boats in that range around here are 1,500-2,000

they are asking $2000 and I haven't seen any waves for sale in the area ever. I'll take a look at it and see. thanks for the help.

For what it's worth,

I looked and looked and waited and waited for about two years for a decent deal on a good used WAVE to no avail.

All the internet sites, local newspapers, rental fleets, etc.

I finally bit the bullet and bought a new one. Though it was more than I wanted to spend, I do not regret it.

I have a CLASSIC, which I "car top" and sail, single handed, most every weekend, weather permitting.

I truly enjoy the work out and as a result, I am in better shape, now, then I have been in the last twenty years or so.

Everytime I put it together and take it apart on the beach, people come up and chat with me about it. It receives a multitude of compliments.

so what would a new wave cost?

I see you are in Irvine. I have a Wave for sale and open to deal a little as I'm finishing my yard and would like the extra room. If you know anyone in SoCal looking, send them my way, I just posted on Craigslist. I've had all kinds of interest, mostly outside the area, but it's still here.

I had mine posted and suppossedly sold last fall and guy flaked on me, surprised you didn't see my listing. I haven't had time to sail it much as shortly after I bought it I decided to get married/build a house, no free time past few years and it hasn't seen water for at least 3 years.

1996 Hobie Wave Club model FS. Make me a reasonable offer, I need room to finish my yard, spring is here.
Excellent shape, sails and plastics always brought inside after sail. Hasn't been out in well over a year, very lightly used before that. Local seller.

$2500obo, first offer takes it, very hard to find these used. It's a rotomolded hull and not fiberglass which makes it unique, very tough boat, made of same material used in Ocean Kayaks, Perception, river kayaks near impossible to seriously damage. Popular in resort rental fleets for this reason and the tramp design has a rear crossbar only in the Club model that can accept a traveler. Very stable boat, simple to sail, planes under light winds great, car-toppable. Sitting in my yard right now.
