I just bought a used 1995 wave. Does anyone have an electronic copy of the assembly manual for this boat.

I need help with stepping the mast. How does the metal pivot piece with the pin work. Do you take out the pin and lower the piece after the mast is stepped?

Thanks, Doug

Thanks for the link but I have already printed that manual. My boat has a different mast/boat connection and stepping process. Anyone have a manual more specific to a 1995 or help making the mast stepping connection.

You could take a look at the H14 mast step pin instructions http://www.hobiecat.com/support/pdfs/21380001.pdf as the early Waves used the later H14 mast base/stepping pin (early H14's did not even use the pin at all, so it was a later retrofit). Yes, the pin should be removed after stepping.

Don't forget to pick up some teflon mast pivot wafers the next time you are at your Hobie dealer. See page 8 of the H14 manual. http://www.hobiecat.com/support/pdfs/e_h14manual.pdf

There are loads of subjects to research on this forum. Also feel free to post new questions, this is a very helpful group!

Congrats on the purchase :)

I have had a 95 Wave since 2000. You need to pin the mast in the second/larger hole. Take the pin out when under sail, mast needs to rotate. Put pin back in when taking down to prevent damage to boat/personel.
Anymore questions/concerns E-Mail me.
