I notice your mirage drive pedal shafts look like Stainless. Is this custom or something from Hobie?

Thats a custom job, an experiment in gearing the drive. It kinda worked. Not easy to change gear dynamically, but the pedal can be positioned in 4 different spots, all of which provide a very different feel and response. I like the second top position, but at the same time, I concluded that to accommodate the majority of people and boats, Hobie's default position is pretty much perfect.
