Today was my last day for Rockfish for this year (our season closes in Jan. and Feb.) and I really had to work hard for them...Thursday looks good and then Friday and Saturday look pretty wet and windy...so go get em' if you can.
Those off-shore winds were a pain in the ass again this morning and yet... once again, it calmed down and the fish bit for about 45 minutes then they shut down once again when the west wind picked up...I managed 6 nice Reds, Chuckleheads, a Starry and one Flag...I released a bunch of little guys to grow.
It was a slow day but I caught enough for some fish tacos and a few to vacuum pack.
Can't wait to get back at em' after February. :reeling:
