Hello,

This is how I transport my outback in the back of my pick up. Due to the curved hull, the kayak does not want to sit flat, so I purchased a 10ft piece of 3” PVC pipe and cut it in half. I lift one side and place the pipe under the side of the hull and then repeat on the other side. This allows the outback to straddle the PVC pipe giving it a flat bottom to steady it out. I have a short bed truck with a Fuel cell so I needed a bed extender. I copied the hull design to some card and cut the layout in to a 2x6 of treated wood for a cradle . The cradle was bolted to the end of the bed extender to help keep everything level. The kayak now rides nice and level, and the wood cradle reduces the amount of stapes needed to tie it down.
