hi hobiecatch,

What model kayak do you have and for what purpose do you want to convert the existing built-in rod holder to a ram ball? Just some info that might be helpful in finding a solution if any. There are so many RAM mounts and possible locations for the ball, why would you want to modify the existing holders? If you are looking to get the rods higher from the water there are extension tubes you can get from Hobie to lift the rods higher.

A Thrill Ride is being dragged around in your kayak for 40 minutes by an extremely large fish.
