We just bought a 5 yr old used Hobie tandem. I know it wasn't specifically made for fishing and thus no built-in rod holders--is there an attachment ot modification one can make or buy to make this model more fishing friendly?

p.s.--I am new to Hobie and also a kayak newbie...

Yeah, there are plenty of rod holders and fishing accessories available to add to your Hobie kayak. You can view all of the options by downloading the Hobie Kayak Parts and Accessories Catalogue online at: http://www.hobiecat.com/fishing/index.html Just scroll to the bottom of the page and you can download it. Most of the fishing accessories are listed on page 12 and 13. You can mount them anywhere on the rails of your kayak where there is enough room.
