I recently added an anchor to my Adventure Island and I'm looking for a good way to store the 45ft or so of line that i have attached to my anchor.
any suggestions or photos?

I have found the best way to store the anchor and line is on a Cuban Yo Yo hand reel. They are available in different diameters at most offshore tackle shops or Bass Pro Shops. I drill a hole in the rim and tie a short line to the bottom of an anchor to hold anchor in place when coiled. I have 50' of paracute cord anchor line on my 8" reel and it is maybe 1/3 full. Just uncoil what you need tie it off on your cleat and set the Yo Yo ring to the side and then it is easy enough to wind back on the reel with no tangles then tie the anchor in place and store. See picture. The anchor is a 3 pound colapsible grapling hook type.

Deepest spot in my nearby lake is 90' deep. But most fish hang suspended 25'-45' deep usually, so I don't anchor up in the channel right next to the dam anyway.

Bottom is submerged hill country rocks and trees (and a couple submerged cities that relocated after dam was built) that got covered by water when the dam was built.
Standard anchors get hung up in rocks and trees, so here is what I use ...

75' of line that came with the free Winder spool, from WalMart
(5 pound rubber coated dumbell Anchor from Walmart too :lol:

)
( Pool noodle/anchor float from .... WalMart :mrgreen:

)
I have since changed this to a 3 pound rubber coated dumbell/anchor.

I also changed out the pool noodle for a yellow anchor float, it matched my Papaya Outback better color coordination. (Walmart was sold out of yellow pool noodles) :lol:

I keep my long rope in a throw-rope bags (one per boat), used for rescue, towing and anchoring.

Use a dive reel,I think it holds 150' of line; I generally use 40' when I anchor up to chunk for stripers.

I store line around the float and then tie it off so it doesn't come loose.

I added an additional mesh stowage pocket to the side of my cockpit of my outback. It stores 50' of rope. Not sure what type of rope this is but it has a firm backbone and doesn't knot.

I noticed that your neat rope that does not knot stays nice n neat.
But, I'm not never naughty, just neverendingly nutty, .. and so I gotta ask ...
How do you tie it to an anchor, this neat rope that does not knot?

Sorry i don't have a pic handy. i ran the rest of the rope through a few pad eyes. After the last pad eye, I tied a basic loop figure 8 loop knot to form a 1 inch loop. The knot keeps the rope from going through the pad eye and I can leave the rope at all times. When I get on the water i put on a collapsible 3 # anchor with carabiner on it. Easy clip on/off

Sorry so long since last checked in I hope you have found the rod holders. I am attaching the link for you in case you are still looking. They are made by RAM and a little pricey but such versatility with the dual axis.
