Sorry if this has been asked before, but can anyone tell what the difference is between the Outback fishing version and the Outback recreation version?

Thanks for your help!

I could be wrong, but I don't believe that there is a difference. I'm pretty sure that the Outback is just one model. I know that in the accessories brochure, they used to (and perhaps still do) separate the kayaking accessories from the fishing accessories, but as far as I know the boats are the same in 2010.

A quick scan of the website and 2010 brochure seems to confirm my thoughts.

Most fishing accessories are more of the neutral colours, so you might not want a red or yellow model if you're going to be adding the Hobie LiveWell or something like that.

Hi there, I bought a Outback Fishing version recently, the only difference is that it came with 3 gear buckets in a mesh bag and 2 rod leashes, and of course the Outback Fish decal on the stern..

I think the one marketed as the "fishing model" was associated with Hank Parker wasn't it. I think this also indicates an older Outback from before the hull redesign. They used to come with extra accessories if I remember right. (Disclaimer) I am over 40 now!
