Any body know what size plastic tackle boxes will drop into the new side mounted tackle trays ?
They show some Plano style boxes but not sure which model will fit full width.
Thanks

I bought two of the side mounted tackle trays and they each hold two of the large sized tackle boxes, but only two of the roughly 1" deep ones, not the deeper ones (which are roughly 2" deep).

Thanks for the info. Any chance you would have the Plano part number so I could order
a couple.
Thanks, Jim

I will check them tonight and see if they have a number on them and then get back to you.

Jim, the side mounted tackle bins/trays are 14.5" X 4.5" and they fit two model #3740-1 Plano boxes. These Plano boxes are 14" X 9" X 1.5", and by the time you allow for the added size of the clips on them, they fit these two Plano boxes nicely.

Is there a way to secure your belongings in the main compartment, such as a large Plano box? I see the add on trays have bungee cords but don't think the crate itself does.

The crate doesn't have bungee cords or any form of lid. I would be interested in knowing if Hobie is thinking of creating some type of lid that could be retrofitted to the crate given that I think there would be reasonable demand for it.

I do not have the Hobie crate, I was going to adapt the side tray to the Aka on my Hobie.
