Had a chance to target a new species this past weekend with my son. I joined fellow Hobie Outback owner PhillyJoe and his son and we pedaled out to target a true living dinosaur - the gar! It was both exciting and frustrating for me. The excitement of watching your son hook, fight and work his first ever trophy fish ony to watch it swim away as it throws the hook as I am grabbing it to land and measure.....
No escaping this one - it was my fault, and there's video proof to boot!
