So still waiting to buy the new yak. Combination of poor weather and no time is keeping it from me :)
The place I'll likely buy the kayak offers a really good amount of store credit towards accessories.
I'm thinking about getting the live well. Is it worth it?
If you have it would you buy it again?

The other option is H-crate... but I really don't see much use for it or at least not much more than what a milk crate could offer

Livewell or H-Crate? WHich do you need more - fish storage, or general storage/utility? How important is keeping fish alive for you? If not very, no, a Livewell is not money well spent. If very, then yes, it is. The H-Crate might look like a glorified milk crate at first glance, but when you stop to think about the fact that it also has 4 storage tubes (for rods, nets, gaffs, safety light/flag) at each corner with leashes for each, as well as h-rail tubing so H-rail accessories can be added, and an optional lid be added if required, it starts to look more attractive. Sure, you could add some of that to a milk crate in one way or another yet it will always just be a thrifty surrogate, but not really equivalent.
