Hey there

I’m a relatively new kayak fisherman.

I’m loving it - and my PA17!

I am almost fully kitted out and enjoy fighting fish close to the water. I currently have a Raymarine Dragonfly Fishfinder, but I’m seriously thinking of upgrading to the Element 9 for the 3D imaging.

I am also going to sort out my trailer so it carries and stores the kayak in an optimal way.
I am looking at getting a set of cradles and a number of rollers, so as to make loading and unloading on my own a possibility.

My question is this:
Have Hobie modified the design of the PA17T cradles to accommodate the side scanning transducers?

I know the brand new kayaks have a retractable transducer carrier, but my kayak doesn’t.
If the rear cradle is not going to work, I may as well fashion some PU piping as opposed to the Hobie cradles, although I would prefer to run the cradles.

Thanks in advance for knowledge and suggestions!

Dave

The cradles have not changed. You would lift up and over the cradle if your have a transducer under the hull. Our plates are all flush.

Great thank you - it’s not a huge problem to do so I guess! :)

Just one more thing - can you please tell me the shipping weight for these things?
The Hobie order number is: 72020404
I would like to work out the shipping costs you see.

Thanks
